Essential and Desirable Qualifications: 

Professor(Law): EQ: An eminent scholar with Ph.D in Law along with published work of high quality; 

actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of ten publications ; a 

minimum of ten years of experience in University/ College, and or experience in research at the National 

level institutions including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level. Outstanding 

teachers with 15 years of UG teaching/research experience or an outstanding scholar with established 

reputation who has made significant contribution to knowledge may also be considered. 

DQ: Specialisation in International Law, Public Law and Commercial Law.

Librarian : EQ: (1): A Master’s Degree in Library Sciences from a recognised University or its 

equivalent..(2) At least thirteen years as a Deputy Librarian in a University Library or eighteen years 

experience as a College Librarian..(3) The candidate must be between 35 to 55 years of age as on 

15/11/2013. 

DQ: Should have a strong background in Library systems management and should be highly proficient 

in computerized library management systems preferably in Legal institutions.. Should also possess sound 

knowledge of prevalent national standards, statutory provisions and good practices with respect to Library 

management & relevant MIS, ERP solutions. A M.Phil/Ph.D degree in library science /information 

science /documentation/archives and manuscript –keeping. 

Assistant Professor (Law) : EQ: (1) Good academic record with at least 55% marks or, an equivalent 

grade of B in 7 point scale at the Master’s degree level(Law) from an Indian University or, an equivalent 

degree from a foreign university. (2) Candidates should also have cleared the NET for lecturers conducted 

by the UGC, or similar test accredited by the UGC or Ph.D in Law as per UGC guidelines. 

DQ: 1. Teaching/Research experience at University/College level at least for one year.

West Bengal Staff Selection Commission (WBSSC) Recruitment 2013 for the post of various vacancies of LDC and Assistants: West Bengal (WB) Staff Selection Commission is a very apparent institution which made very appointment as it is a very vast institute to make recruitment and the posts under the LDC and Assistant are as following in details.

There are total 3050 vacancies open in the commission.

Points related with the eligibility are as following:

Age limit: Authority had made provision according to which the age limit which is set and is compulsory to follow by the applicants and this age limit is from the 18 years to the age of 40 years. With this the Upper age limit is will be relaxed by the 5 years for SC and ST candidates and by 3 years for BC – A and BC – B candidates which are the residents of the West Bengal. WBSSC Recruitment 2013 Educational Qualification: An applicant which had passed its Madhyamik Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or the academic qualification which is equivalent to it is qualified.
